questionnaire for magazine cover

This is my magazine questionnaire, I had a bit of difficulty deciding what information to put on the front cover, By creating a questionnaire and asking 20 people what they would prefer on a magazine front cover, it has helped me come to a conclusion of how I want my front cover to look like.

final image for front cover

I have edited the two of my favourite images and layered them on photo shop, by doing this it has created an eerie look too match the genre of the movie trailer.

images for magazine front cover.

I decided to use the photo shoot I had taken previously for my film poster because I like the way the shadows connote the mysterious character behind the mask.

I had taken a range of photographs in different styles to capture the genre of horror. In the images below I had used a technique of slow shutter speed to connote the victim running away in the film from the villain in my trailer.

This is my textual analysis for my horror magazine, by analysing a range of different front covers it helps me what to include on my own work for example the puffs and special offers .

Final Outcome of my Film poster.

When finishing the image, I had found out from my research that the majority of the film posters I have analysed had a narrow font at the bottom of the poster. By using Bodoni MT font this enabled me to create a professional looking poster, also by using a red font it had highlighted the important information the audience need to know, For example the date that the film is on release.
I have also created a logo for the ‘backstabber productions’ I wanted to keep it plain and simple and be visible for the audience to see so when they come to see the logo again the audiences can recollect that ‘Back Stabber Productions’ are the makers of this particular film.

Editing film poster

When I had decided to use the font Calibri, I thought my poster needed a little more editing to create that mysterious effect the film trailer has, so I had used a Focal Zoom effect on the text and the face, however I have kept the eyes in focus because I think that is the main part of the image which really stands out.
